Each summer, ARC offers opportunities for post-secondary students and new graduates to gain practical work experience as part of our student program. During their time at ARC, students have the chance to work on meaningful projects, build connections, and learn more about the Canadian energy industry.
This summer, 28 post-secondary students from across the country took the first steps in their professional journeys as part of the ARC team. With roles based out of our head office in Calgary, and our field operations located in Grande Prairie, AB and Dawson Creek, BC – students gained valuable experience across a variety of disciplines including field operations, accounting, human resources, engineering, and geology.
A core element of our student program is the opportunity for participants to collaborate with their fellow students to develop a community project in support of a local cause. The project is designed to align with ARC’s values and to benefit community members within our operating areas.
For this year’s community project, students worked together to support The PREP Society, a nonprofit organization that provides education and therapy services to children with down syndrome. The students volunteered at a Day of Caring to support PREP’s annual BBQ and helped conduct renovations at their school.
Through their efforts, our students raised approximately $4,200 to support the PREP society.

This year’s summer student program was another resounding success, which we hope will help to cultivate the future leaders of the energy industry. We were proud to see so many bright, creative minds embrace our culture of caring and deliver impressive projects during their term.
