At ARC, our culture of caring is deeply embedded in our organization. We prioritize employee health and well-being through a variety of resources and programs, underpinned by a supportive and inclusive environment that enables everyone to be their best. By fostering respect and care for one another, we enable more creativity and productivity to drive us forward.
We recognize the importance of supporting mental health for our people. This year, we reinforced our commitment to our people by adding unlimited mental health coverage to our core benefits package. Now, employees and their dependents have unlimited coverage for mental health practitioners including social workers, psychologists, occupational therapists, marriage/family therapists, psychiatrists and/or psychotherapists.
In addition, employees have access to our Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP). This program provides flexible counselling services and resources on a range of topics for self-directed support. EFAP is fully confidential, with 24/7 access to tools to help employees and their families through challenges they may be facing.
ARC has adopted the Canadian Mental Health Association’s “Not Myself Today” campaign, which aims to break down mental health stigma by encouraging open dialogue and understanding of mental health challenges. Over the last eight years, the initiative has continued to evolve with manager and employee educational workshops, wellness challenges and other engagement activities across the organization.
To support employees following the pandemic, we introduced a hybrid work option and additional work-life balance supports. As employees returned to office locations, we also provided opportunities for increased social connection and strengthened team relationships through events and activities. We’re proud of the resilience of our people and will continue to identify ways we can support and prioritize their mental health and well-being.
