The Dawson Creek and District Hospital Foundation (DCDHF) announced the official launch of their ‘Clear Picture’ MRI Campaign this week with the goal of raising $3 million. Following the announcement, ARC stepped up with a contribution of $1.5 million dollars to cover half of the campaign total. ARC’s contribution will support a transformative initiative to install the first Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) machine in the South Peace.
Northern Health Authority is currently building a new, state-of-the-art hospital that will greatly enhance the standard of care and meet future health needs in the region. Expected to open in 2027, the healthcare hub will serve over 18,000 residents in Dawson Creek and Indigenous communities across the South Peace Region of British Columbia.
“We are incredibly grateful for the early support from ARC Resources. From the beginning, we knew this goal was ambitious – but essential. ARC’s role in championing this project highlights just how important it is to bring an MRI to the new Dawson Creek Hospital and the difference it will make for our community.”
- Brette Madden, President of the Dawson Creek & District Hospital Foundation
Surrounded by employees, community partners and Indigenous leaders, ARC’s Dawson Creek office hosted a celebration on November 20 to announce the DCDHF’s campaign and ARC’s donation.
“We’re proud to be a part of this landmark campaign to enhance access to advanced healthcare in our province. Having a new healthcare hub that’s equipped with the latest technology in Dawson Creek will ensure patients can receive timely, high-quality care when they need it – all while staying close to home.”
- Sean Calder, Vice President, Field Operations, ARC Resources
ARC’s Dawson Creek team joined Calder up on stage for the exciting celebration and reveal of the announcement.
