25 years of partnership

United in making a difference

When we come together to make a difference, the results can have a powerful impact and that’s why we have a long history partnering with the United Way of Calgary and Area. We’ve been united in raising funds to support our local community for 25 years – all while having a little fun making it happen. Over the years, ARC and our employees have raised more than $10 million through our annual campaigns, which directly benefit local community-building initiatives that have broad impact.

With strong roots and a pulse on community needs, the United Way of Calgary and Area continues to ensure our contributions are directed to local charities that tackle critical social issues in a meaningful way. This year’s focus areas include COVID-19 response, mental health, Indigenous culture and more.

ARC’s annual campaign is made possible by a dedicated employee committee who plan exciting fundraising events and informative activities where our people can learn about United Way’s partner agencies and the important work they are doing in our community. Backed by leadership support, employees are also empowered to give their time through volunteer activities that, over the years, have ranged from painting the office at Sunrise Community Link, taking a group of seniors from the Calgary Chinese Elderly Citizens Association shopping, and sorting donations at the Calgary Drop-In Center.

Last year, thanks to our employee planning committee’s dedication, we were humbled to receive the United Way Quantum Leap Award, an award that recognizes organizations that achieved significant growth in their campaign impact, including donors, funds raised, and management support. We’re excited to continue that momentum and be a part of building a stronger community again this year.

Over the years, ARC and our employees have raised more than $10 million through our annual United Way campaigns, which directly benefit local community-building initiatives that have broad impact.
