We are currently seeking a Contract Intermediate Software Developer with a keen interest in applying development best practices to Software Projects. This position will offer the successful candidate a broad exposure to all disciplines within ARC Resources. The successful candidate will be a key player in reducing ARC’s support footprint in existing applications, helping to lift and shift existing applications to Microsoft Azure and designing and implementing new features as required by the business.

The work atmosphere is an open, fast-paced, team environment where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work independently, but also as part of a close-knit group.  The role involves working alongside team members with extensive and diverse experience within the Information Technology field.

This is a full-time, contract based position for the duration of 12 months from the start date with the possibility of becoming full time permanent.  The position is available immediately. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Reduce the support footprint by updating and fixing root cause issues in existing applications
  • Evaluate existing applications to help determine whether to replace, fix in place, or migrate to Microsoft Azure.
  • Design and implement new features requested by the business in a way that can be supported long term and extensible in future iterations
  • Work closely with team members to design, develop and maintain key components of the software suite using HTML, Javascript, CSS and C#
  • Ensure that our automated deployment processes run flawlessly
  • To develop into a go-to resource and a subject matter expert on each product they work on
