We are currently seeking Field Operations Summer Students to work with our Drayton Valley Field Operations. These positions will report to the Field Manager and require organized and motivated individuals who enjoy challenges and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The position will provide the successful candidates with an excellent opportunity to learn the various aspects of Field Operations and the Oil & Gas industry.
The work term will commence in May 2020 and last for a four month period. The successful candidates must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Drayton Valley area for the four month work term.
This four month work term will focus on the safe and efficient operation of the wells and facilities in the area. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to partner with senior Field Operations staff and receive one-on-one coaching and mentorship to complete a variety of work related to field operations.
The position is ideally suited for a student enrolled in, Power Engineering, SAIT/NAIT GPO course, second year of a BSc (Engineering) program or a Petroleum Engineering Technology program. Finalist candidates will be motivated and enthusiastic team players with a strong desire to learn field operations. Attention to detail and strong organizations skills are also key attributes. Although significant training and mentoring will be provided, the successful candidate must be able to work independently within a team environment.
Please note that a valid driver’s license is required, and the successful candidate must provide a copy of their driver’s abstract.
This role is considered safety-sensitive and as such, finalist candidates will be required to complete drug and alcohol testing.
