We are currently seeking Field Operations Engineering Summer Students to work with our Field Operations team in our various Field Office locations in Western Canada. These positions will report to the Field Manager and require organized and motivated individuals who enjoy challenges and thrive in a fast-paced environment. These dynamic positions will provide the successful candidates with an excellent opportunity to learn the various aspects of Field Operations and the Oil & Gas industry in Western Canada. The work term will commence in May 2019 and last for a four month period. The successful candidates must currently reside in or be willing to relocate to the Field Office area for the four-month work term.
There will be opportunities available for students in the following areas: Dawson Creek, BC; Valleyview, AB; Drayton Valley, AB. If you have a strong preference to work in a particular area, please indicate in your cover letter which location you are interested in. Please note that we will do our best to accommodate your preferences, however, since there are a limited number of positions, we cannot guarantee that you will be placed in your preferred area.
The 4-month work term will focus on the safe and efficient operation of the wells and facilities in the area. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to partner with senior Field Operations staff and receive one-on-one coaching and mentorship to complete a variety of work related to field operations.
The position is ideally suited for a candidate with a strong desire to learn field operations. The ideal candidate is a motivated and enthusiastic team player with a strong work ethic. Attention to detail, computer literacy, and strong organizations skills are also key attributes. Although strong training and mentoring will be provided, the successful candidate must be able to work independently within a team environment.
