Sheldon Kennedy Child Advocacy Centre
The Sheldon Kennedy Child Advocacy Centre (“CAC”) opened its doors in February 2013 with four founding partners - Calgary Police Service, Child and Family Services, Alberta Health Services and the Crown Prosecutor. Since then the RCMP and Alberta Education have partnered with the CAC. The Centre is Alberta’s first full-service facility providing support for children who have been victims of abuse. This new model of integration and close collaboration of these agencies will allow the CAC to more effectively meet the needs of victims, while adhering to the requirements of the investigative and judicial process.
ARC is proud to support the CAC in its role of enhancing the health of our community and protecting our youngest and most vulnerable citizens.
